Honorable Vice Chancellor of Primeasia University, Prof Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury presided over the meeting. Mr. A. K. M Ashraful Haque, Treasurer, Mr. Abul Kashem Molla, Registrar, Prof. Dr. A. H. M Habibur Rahman, Dean, School of Business Administration, Prof. Dr. A. J. M Omar Faruque, Dean, School of Biological Science, all Heads of the departments and Controller of Examinations of Primeasia University were present in the meeting.

The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Primeasia University has organized a Meeting on Quality Assurance Cell (QAC) on Thursday May 18, 2017 at its campus, Banani, Dhaka. Professor Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor and Charman of QAC of Primeasia University presided over the meeting.


The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Primeasia University has organized a Meeting on Quality Assurance Cell (QAC) on Thursday May 18, 2017 at its campus, Banani, Dhaka. Professor Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor and Charman of QAC of Primeasia University presided over the meeting. Mr. A. K. M. Ashraful Haque, Treasurer, Registrar Mr. Abul Kashem Molla, Prof. Dr. A. H. M. Habibur Rahman, Dean, School of Business Administration, Prof. Sk. Md. Hasanuzzaman, Dean, School of Engineering, Prof. Dr. A. J. M. Omar Faruque, Dean, School of Biological Science, Heads of the Departments and Members of QAC and Chairman of Self Assessment (SA) Committee of Primeasia University were present in the program. Among others, Dr. Helal Uddin, Director of IQAC of Primeasia University was the Director and the Additional Director, Dr. Muhammad Shahjalal were present in the meeting. The progress and activities of quality assurance in the University, post survey activities of Textile Engineering, BBA, Microbiology and Architecture departments, preparation of External Peer Review (EPR) of Textile Engineering, BBA, Microbiology and Architecture departments, other activities of Law, International Tourism and Hospitality Management (ITHM), Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Pharmacy, Public Health Nutrition (PHN, Biochemistry and MBA departments were discussed in the meeting.

Honorable Vice Chancellor of Primeasia University, Prof. Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury attended at the 14th South Asian Management Forum (SAMF) 2017 in Bandos Island, Maldives. The Conference was held on 24th to 26th April, 2017 with a theme of Governance and Public Policy-Role Management Development. Prof. Chowdhury Chaired a session on “Governance and Management Development.” He was also a Panelist of a session titled “Governance and Institutional Building.” The conference was organized by the Association of Management Development in South Asia (AMDISA), Hyderabad, India and it was hosted by Maldives National University (MNU) Male, Maldives.

The Legend of IT in Bangladesh and Entrepreneur of Bengali character of BIJOY Software Mr. Mustafa Jabbar was the Moderator and Mr. Golam Mostafa, Chairman of Deshbandhu Group took part in the discussion.

Honorable Chairman of the Board of Trustees emphasis on all the vital issues related to university’s administrative and academic affairs. He has advised all Deans, Heads of the Department and all administrative officers to co-operate the new Vice Chancellor. He expressed that under the leadership of the new Vice Chancellor, the university will progress in the upcoming future.

Vice Chancellor of Primeasia University at National Sustainable Development Olympiad (NSDO), EMK Center, Dhaka


Prof. Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Honorable Vice Chancellor of Primeasia University spoke at the National Sustainable Development Olympiad (NSDO) on Saturday May 06, 2017 at EMK Center, Dhaka. The NSDO began with an initiative called Girls for Global Goals organized by South Asian Youth Society (SAYS) supported by U.S. Embassy, Dhaka. Prof. Dr. Chowdhury is the Chief Adviser in the South Asian Youth Society (SAYS) since its inception. The focus of the program was on Educating and Empowering Young Girls to Enlighten the Society. Mrs. Ann Mc Connell, Director, American Center, U.S. Embassy, Dhaka was the Chief Guest of the Program. Among others, Kelly Mitchell-Clark, Cultural Affairs Officer, U.S. Embassy, Dhaka was given Speech while Mr. Towfique A Khan, Founder and President of South Asian Youth Society (SAYS) presided over the Program. In the program, sixty female students from different schools and institutions of all the divisions of the country took part in the final stage of Olympiad and six students earned the champion trophy selecting one from each division. The main goal of the program was to aware the female students about 17 Sustainable development goals (SDG) introduced by United Nations and its 68 targets. Earlier, Divisional SDG Olympiad was held in each division. Only Dhaka division was segmented into two parts as Dhaka North and Dhaka South.
