The Department of Microbiology of Primeasia University has organized a Seminar on “Molecular Pathogenesis of Preeclampsia and its Therapeutic Intervention: A Translational Approach” on Wednesday July 17, 2019 at its IQAC Conference Center of its campus Banani, Dhaka. Prof. Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor of Primeasia University has graced the seminar as the Chief Guest while Prof. M. Nasir Uddin, Ph.D, FAHA, Director of Research, Maternal Fetal and Neonatal Medicine College of Medicine, Texas A&M College University, USA was the Keynote Speaker in the seminar.Prof. Dr. Suvamoy Datta, Chairman of Microbiology Department presided over the seminar. Mr. Abul Kashem Molla, Registrar, Prof Dr. AJM Omar Faruque, Dean, School of Science and Prof. Dr. Zahed Uddin Mahmud Khan, Advisor of Microbiology department of Primeasia University were present in the seminar as the Special Guests. Among others, Prof. Dr. AHM Habibur Rahman, Dean, School of Business, Prof. SK. Hasanuzzaman, Dean, School of Engineering, heads of the departments, faculty members, officers and students from the department of Microbiology took part in the program. The Keynote Speaker emphasis on Preeclampsia which is a pregnancy disorder causes high blood pressure and found protein in urine after 20 weeks of pregnancy period of time. He also focused on its prevention by controlling mother’s blood pressure, diabetics, obesity and diet.
