Seminar on Drug Free Bangladesh held at Primeasia University

Primeasia University organized a seminar on ‘Drug Free Bangladesh’ on Monday August 5, 2019 at the IQAC Conference Center of its campus Banani, Dhaka.
The Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, M.P was present as the Chief Guest while Prof Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor of Primeasia University presided over the seminar.
Mosharaf Hossain, Additional Inspector General of Bangladesh Police, Monsur Ahmed Chowdhury, former Member of United Nations Committee of Rights of Persons with Disability, AKM Ashraful Haque, Treasurer and Abul Kashem Molla, Registrar of Primeasia University were present in the seminar as the Special Guests. Zahid Ahmed Chowdhury, Founder Chairman of Jhalak Foundation was present as the Keynote Speaker while Kazi Tarannum Ferdous, Chief Coordinator of Jhalak Foundation given the welcome speech in the seminar.
Among others, Deans of Schools, Heads of the departments, faculty members, officers and more than three hundred students from different departments of Primeasia University took part in the program.
AKM Mozammel Haque said in seminar we have to rethink about drug and why the young people are being addicted. However, we have to dig out the real causes of addiction to drug in Bangladesh.
Mosharaf Hossain told in the seminar that if we work together then the drug addiction will be demolished from root to the upper label in the country. Therefor we have to go forward after working on it.
Prof Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury in his speech emphasized on the youth and young student body of the country not to be influenced by drug addicts anymore. He mentioned that family, society and academic institutions has a role to reduce the negative affect of it.
