Prof. Dr. Md. Nurunnabi Mollah appointed as the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Designate) of Primeasia University

Prof. Dr. Md. Nurunnabi Mollah, Professor (Grade-1), Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) has appointed as the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Designate) of Primeasia University. He joined the university on Wednesday (August 11, 2021) in the afternoon. Mr. Raihan Azad, Vice Chairman, Board of Trustees of Primeasia University and Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor (Acting) Prof. Dr. Mesbah Kamal greeted him with flowers. At the time, the Dean of the School of Science, Professor Dr. Suvamoy Datta, Deputy Registrar and Head of Human Resources Department Major (Retd.) AKM Anisud Dowla, Deputy Director (Finance and Accounts) Mr. Md. Habibur Rahman and Publication Manager Ms. Shamim Ara were present.

Previously he worked as Head, Dept. of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Head, Department of Biomedical Engineering (for 3 times), Dean, Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Khulna University of Engineering &Technology (KUET). He was elected Syndicate Member for four times at KUET.

He served as the nominee of His Excellency President Republic of Bangladesh in the selection board of different Universities. He also served in KU, JUST, IU, PUST (Pabna), RUET, RU, DUET, BAIUST, NSTU, CUET, PUST (Patuakhali), NUBTK (Khulna) in different capacities.

He also served as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Eastern University and as Chairperson of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Stamford University. He started his career in 1988 as an Assistant Engineer in Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation. Later, in 1990, he joined the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in KUET as a lecturer.

He completed B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology and M.Sc. Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. He holds a PhD in RF and Microwave Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore.

He has published approximately 90 papers including a book chapter, 50 conference papers and 34 journal papers in home and abroad.

He is the Life Fellow of Institution of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB) and Member of IEEE, USA (World’s Largest Professional Organization). He served as Industry Activity Coordinator, IEEE-Bangladesh Section (Two times) and Counselor, IEEE Student Branch, KUET.

Professor Dr. Md. Nurunnabi Mollah was born in 1964. His father was Late Joynuddin Ahmed and his mother was Late Full Chehara Begum. His village is Kulbaria, P.O. - Pannatala Bazar, P.S. + Dist. - Jhenidah, Bangladesh. He is the father of one daughter and one son.
