Webinar on "Goal Setting and Career Planning" held

A webinar on "Goal Setting and Career Planning" was organized by the Department of Public Health Nutrition, Primeasia University on August 17, 2021 at 8:00 PM through virtual platform. The session was graced by the presence of highly dignitary personalities. The chief guest of the program Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Md. Nurunnabi Mollah gave many examples of succeed people who were failure in their earlier carrier. He advised the students to learn necessary skills, challenges and sacrifices to explore their career options. In addition, he suggested keeping on trying to build a bright future; they may take feedback from faculty members, friends and experienced people for goal setting and career planning.

Prof. Dr. Suvamoy Datta, Dean, School of Science participated as the special guest in the session. He said that this kind of webinar is very important for not only for the School of Science but for all departments. He provided knowledge and information to improve their employability and also suggested to enhance their skill and competence. Prof. Dr. Nashid Kamal, Dean, School of Business thanked to the department of Public Health Nutrition for organizing such a beautiful program and shared her views on career planning.

The Keynote speaker, Mr. Anwar Morsalin, CEO, Gaco Pharmaceuticals, Founder of Career Chapter, discussed on the importance and techniques of goal setting, techniques for career planning and fundamentals of career success. He said that self evaluation and current situation analysis play a vital role for career goal setting and career planning. He also recommended to read a book entitled with "the 7 habits of highly effective people" written by Stephen R. Covey.

The session was chaired by Dr. Md. Abdus Salam Mondol, Chairperson & Assistant Professor, Dept. of Public Health Nutrition. He advised that creating a bridge between current students, alumni, and corporate professional play a vital role to set up a better career goal and planning. He advised students and emphasized to develop their personality, networking and relationship. He thanked all of the participants to make the webinar successful.

The Program was hosted by Israt Jahan , Lecturer, Dept. of Public Health Nutrition, Primeasia University. Respected teachers and students of School of Science as well as the Controller of Exanimations participated in the webinar.
